Nvidia announced that starting next year, BYD, the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, will use the Nvidia Drive Orin centralized computing platform in its entire range of vehicles, further expanding the use of DRIVE Orin in multiple models of its dynasty and ocean series of vehicles, and bringing more peaceful and intelligent vehicles to the market.

NVIDIA and BYD both believe that the future of automobiles will be programmable, from being based on many embedded controllers to high-performance centralized computers - software updates that mandate and enhance functionality throughout the entire life cycle of the automobile.

According to introductions, DRIVE Orin is the most powerful automotive engine in the market, and has become the preferred AI engine for the new generation of new energy vehicles, robotic taxis, shuttle buses, and trucks in the industry since its production last year.

As the first choice for automotive manufacturers to schedule their consumption in 2022, NVIDIA DRIVE Orin includes:

It is worth mentioning that BYD also announced earlier this year that it will enhance the in-car experience through the introduction of NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud game services.
