Relying on the Siemens Xcelerator digital business platform, MobileDrive builds the company's ADAS vision and solidifies its technical path based on market oriented vehicle demand.

With Siemens' industrial software solutions, MobileDrive can achieve significant quality improvements before making physical prototypes.

Siemens Digital Industrial Software recently announced that MobileDrive uses the industrial software solution of Siemens Xcelerator's open digital business platform and comprehensive digital twin technology to develop an Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) using a model based systems engineering (MBSE) approach. Siemens' expertise in the field of digital mainline helps MobileDrive accelerate the construction of the next generation of auto drive system and create a product quality benchmark.

MobileDrive was established in 2021 by two major mobile travel technology leaders, FIH Mobile and Stellantis, focusing on the development of infotainment, telematics, and cloud service platforms, supported by software and hardware. MobileDrive combines innovative capabilities with over 15 years of experience in software and hardware integration to provide a complete automotive solution including cutting-edge AI technology.

MobileDrive's software innovation includes using a model-based framework to develop algorithms and software controls for general and advanced ADAS applications, such as Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Emergency Lane Keep (ELK), Lane Follow Control (LFC), Automatic Lane Change Assist (ALC), Emergency Turn Assist (ESA), and Automatic Emergency Steering (AES), to meet rapidly changing market demands with high-quality software.

To help MobileDrive achieve its goals, Siemens' Simcenter ™ The engineering and consulting service team works closely with the MobileDrive team to provide a complete methodology and technical roadmap for MobileDrive's ADAS vision based on market oriented vehicle needs, relying on the software and services of Siemens Xcelerator, while developing control algorithms and constructing detailed scenario system models including sensors and vehicle dynamics.

This system model is applied to a virtual testing environment to help the MobileDrive team quickly identify and resolve system and software performance issues before developing early and production physical prototypes based on the exact vehicle digital twins, and validate ADAS software functionality, thereby reducing the workload of "hardware in the loop" (HiL) and vehicle testing, creating an effective and reliable software development process.

Dr. Xu Hongmin, Chief Technology Officer of MobileDrive, said, "The automotive industry is undergoing significant changes to better meet the needs of users in different scenarios and achieve a more intuitive and seamless user experience in the vehicle. MobileDrive continues to conquer key cutting-edge technologies and actively works with partners to explore and innovate. Cooperation with Siemens will help MobileDrive bring its products to the market in a more streamlined and efficient manner."

In recent years, MobileDrive has continued to provide automotive manufacturers with products that combine safety, personalization, and reliability, and has obtained ISO 26262 certification for automotive functional safety to ensure safe driving of vehicles.
